Peugeot e-2008 Home Charging: Time, Cost and the Right Charger

The Peugeot e-2008's onboard AC charger takes 7.4 kW as standard, 11 kW on some trims. At home, charging from 20% to 80% with a 7.4 kW charger takes: e-2008 136 HP (50 kWh) 4 h 30 min, e-2008 156 HP (54 kWh) 4 h 52 min. A 22 kW charger will not charge this car any faster. Because the standard onboard charger is single-phase, the car takes 3.7 kW from a three-phase 11 kW (3×16 A) charger. Charging at home costs about £4.05-4.18 per 100 km at UK household prices.

Values come from the manufacturer's technical data for the Turkish market. WLTP consumption is measured at the grid and includes charging losses; the cost calculation counts this loss only once.

Versions and values refer to the models sold in Türkiye; equipment and charging power can differ in your country.

Home charging time (20% to 80%)

Charging speed is set by the car's onboard AC charger, not by the wallbox. The Peugeot e-2008 takes at most 7.4 kW with the standard unit; a more powerful charger cannot exceed this limit. Because the standard onboard charger is single-phase, the car takes 3.7 kW from a three-phase 11 kW (3×16 A) charger.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the Peugeot e-2008 take to charge at home?
From 20% to 80%: with a single-phase 7.4 kW charger e-2008 136 HP (50 kWh) 4 h 30 min, e-2008 156 HP (54 kWh) 4 h 52 min; with a 3.7 kW (16 A single-phase) portable charger e-2008 136 HP (50 kWh) 9 h 1 min, e-2008 156 HP (54 kWh) 9 h 44 min. Times depend on the car's onboard AC charger and the battery's state of charge.
Which charger is right for the Peugeot e-2008?
Because the car's onboard AC charger takes 7.4 kW as standard and is single-phase, a single-phase 7.4 kW (32 A) wallbox gives the fastest charging the car can accept. On a three-phase 11 kW (3×16 A) charger the car drops to 3.7 kW.
How many kW does the Peugeot e-2008 take from a three-phase 11 kW charger?
3.7 kW with the standard onboard charger. The Peugeot e-2008's standard onboard charger is single-phase: a three-phase 11 kW charger (3×16 A) supplies at most 16 A per phase, and the car uses only one phase. From 20% to 80% takes e-2008 136 HP (50 kWh) 9 h 1 min, e-2008 156 HP (54 kWh) 9 h 44 min; with a single-phase 7.4 kW (32 A) charger e-2008 136 HP (50 kWh) 4 h 30 min, e-2008 156 HP (54 kWh) 4 h 52 min. For this car a single-phase 7.4 kW charger is faster; a three-phase 22 kW charger (3×32 A) gives the same speed because it supplies 32 A on one phase. If your car has the optional 11 kW three-phase unit, an 11 kW charger delivers full power; check your registration document or equipment list to see which unit you have.
Does a 22 kW charger charge the Peugeot e-2008 faster?
No. The Peugeot e-2008 takes at most 7.4 kW AC; a 22 kW charger gives this car the same power. A 22 kW charger only makes sense for a future car that supports 22 kW or for shared use.
How much does it cost to charge the Peugeot e-2008 at home?
At the Ofgem price cap (£0.26/kWh, 10.2026) 100 km costs about £4.05-4.18. At public AC chargers you pay about £8.32-8.59 on average, at DC rapid chargers about £11.60-11.98. Tariffs with cheaper night rates lower the cost further.
Does the Peugeot e-2008 support V2L?
According to EV Database, the Peugeot e-2008 does not support V2L (vehicle-to-load). For camping or site work, C2L adapters that take power from a charging point work independently of the car.

Sources: vehicle data: the manufacturer's technical documents for the Turkish market; V2L information: EV Database (ev-database.org); household price Ofgem (10.2026), public charging average Zapmap (08.2026). Time and cost are calculated with the same method as our calculator (90% charging efficiency); real values vary with temperature, battery state of charge and the electrical installation.
